This course is designed to support students in the development of effective learning habits and behaviors needed to succeed in and out of the school setting. Areas of focus will include goal setting, organization, and executive functioning skills as well as character development and decision-making processes. Specific instruction will be based on the individual needs of each student.

This course is designed to support students in improving reading skills to meet the demands of academic reading as well as state and district standards. It is structured to include whole-class instruction, small group instruction, and independent practice. Instruction is rooted in the science of reading and designed to build foundational skills in word recognition, language comprehension, and skilled reading based on individual student need.
