Spring Hill Schools strongly encourages students to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The wide range of activities and athletics available to students helps them explore interest areas and develop talents. Students also enhance their citizenship skills and practice good sportsmanship, which prepares them for life, work and post-secondary education.
At the district’s middle and high schools, students have the opportunity to participate in a long list of activities. These range from academic competitions, leadership opportunities and community service groups to activities related to the fine arts, like band, strings, choir, theater, and more. In addition, athletics programs that focus on teamwork and sportsmanship are available to students throughout the school year. The district is a member of the Frontier League, as well as the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
Elementary students also build their leadership skills through participation in student leadership groups that plan many activities for their schools through the year. Community service also is strongly emphasized in the district’s elementary schools, including giving back to the local community and sharing globally.
