Parents/guardians looking to request an out-of-district transfer out of Spring Hill Schools for their student(s) must contact the other school district.

No, a student who is no longer deemed to be in good standing may not continue enrollment in the alternate district school. How is a student determined to be in good standing?
A student meeting one or more of the following criteria shall automatically be deemed not in good standing:
- Failing to maintain a 95% attendance rate in the last school year, excluding excused absences.
- Providing false or fraudulent information in the application process.
- Currently under a period of suspension or expulsion from any Kansas school district.
- Having three or more out-of-school suspensions in the current school year, excluding certain circumstances.
- Receiving a long-term suspension or expulsion by the district in the current school year.

How long does the transfer request process typically take?
The transfer request process involves several steps, including review by school principals and the District Transfer Committee. You can expect to receive written notification regarding your transfer request on or before May 1.

How often do I have to submit an in-district transfer request?
The district does not require parents to resubmit a new application each school year. Once approved, a student may continue enrollment in the alternate district school unless there are changes in circumstances or the student is no longer in good standing.
