SADD is the Students Against Destructive Decisions Organization. It focuses on peer education and prevention of destructive decisions, such as underage drinking, drug use, teen violence and teen suicide. Students work together to provide other students with the necessary tools to prevent these destructive behaviors and to deal with daily peer pressure. SADD is an inclusive organization. SADD does not judge those students who choose to make unfortunate decisions. The goal of SADD is to educate, support and empower students to make the right decisions for themselves.
We ask that students make a life commitment to stay away from drugs and to avoid all decisions that cause problems for our lives. We believe our mission to follow a "NO USE, NO EXCUSE" policy.

Mock Car Crash
Every other year, the SADD program sets up a mock car crash. This demonstration allows students to see what happens at a crash site from all views with help from the Spring Hill Fire Department, Spring Hill Police Department, Johnson County Sherriff's Office, a local towing company, a funeral home, and Life Flight.
The event is typically held right before the Prom, in order to help our students remember to think about their actions behind the wheel or in a vehicle. There will be a special schedule to allow juniors and seniors to attend the event. Underclassmen will attend Bronco Time.
Stay tuned for the next Mock Car Crash date! Contact the staff sponsors with any questions or comments.

Red Ribbon Week
It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon, October 23-30.
This year’s theme for the week is "YOLO: Be Drug-Free."
For additional information on Red Ribbon Week, check on the National Family Partnership website. Learn about how it is a celebration in support of being drug-free and making positive decisions.
The Red Ribbon Campaign was started when drug traffickers in Mexico City murdered DEA agent Kiki Camarena in 1985. This began the continuing tradition of displaying Red Ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a DRUG-FREE AMERICA.
