This program is designed to assist students in completing their daily assignments in a structured setting with the help of content area teachers.
The Spring Hill High After School Program will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Daily sessions will run from 3:20 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Transportation will be provided free of charge! To enroll for the program, please complete the 2021-22 SHHS After School Enrollment Form.

Cornell Note System
The Cornell Note taking system is a proven, secondary level application that optimizes student 'study' time. The system instills a reflective style of learning using simple techniques that will enhance a student's knowledge and ability to apply information presented in class. It can be used while reading text, listening to a lecture, watching a film....basically during any 'instructional time'. As we transition our students toward life after high school in whatever career or college they choose, this system will assist them in developing the analytical skill set needed for the 21st Century.

"Decoding Text"
Students need to be proficient at pulling information from text as they read, particularly as they prepare for the challenges of a career or while furthering their studies at college. As reading is individualized, so are efficient note-taking or annotative methods used while reading. Being able to pull information quickly and efficiently will dramatically enhance a student's ability to master subject matter. With practice, students should be able to increase their ability to recall and apply information after reading, particularly useful while preparing for and while taking tests that involve reading passages.
