Site Council Meeting Notes 3/5/24

Introductions
Math Night - 80 families attended, very positive feedback
PLC calendar - would be beneficial to have PLC as close to every Wednesday as possible, teachers need the time to do the right work and avoid feeling unsuccessful, this would also be more predictable for parents and less change in schedule
DR data - we are down 100 dr’s compared to this time last year. Mrs. Endecott attributes this success to the focus on conflict resolution, thinking win-win and seeking first to understand
Playground equipment update - work will start over the summer, pour and play surface was approved as well as addition of more adaptive equipment
Mr. Chitwood (board rep) asked many questions about the state of our building. Site Council members provided as much information as possible. Questions included things like the roof situation, boundary lines, student numbers vs staff numbers, and classroom availability.
Meeting ended with upcoming events - Family STEM night on March 22nd and final Site Council meeting on May 14th.
