• Become a registered volunteer for Spring Hill Schools today! We believe in the power of your time and talent as a volunteer to support our students and help achieve the goals of our schools.

A volunteer for Spring Hill Schools is any non-employee working in a school building and/or with children during the regular school hours or at a school-sanctioned event. • Opportunities at PCES

Prairie Creek volunteers are people who willingly share their time and talents as valuable members of the school team in order to support the staff in enhancing student learning. We are committed to the belief that children learn more and are happier when adults in their families are fully involved in their school lives.

Some ways that our volunteers help at school are working with students, helping at the book fair, assisting with the hearing and vision screenings, assisting with the Mustang March, going on field trips, assisting teachers with clerical tasks, shelving library books, and joining Watch D.O.G.S.

You give but a little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.

    Watch D.O.G.S.

At Prairie Creek Elementary, the WATCH D.O.G.S Program focuses on safety and education in the school and aims to provide a positive and active role-model for students through the volunteering of fathers and father–figures in their student’s school. Research shows that when fathers are involved, their student(s) learns more, performs better in school and exhibits healthier behavior.

To become a part of our Watch D.O.G.S. Program, all you need to do is attend our annual “kickoff” at the beginning of the year. If you are unable to attend the “kickoff,” you may come by the office any time and receive a Watch D.O.G.S packet that explains the program and how it works at Prairie Creek Elementary. Once you have reviewed the Watch D.O.G.S. packet, you will sign up for any school days when you can come and volunteer.

When you arrive at school as a Watch DOG, you will check in with the office and receive a daily schedule, plus a dog tag to place on your t-shirt, and get your photo taken with your child (ren) for our Wall of Fame.
