Basic hearing, vision, and dental screenings are performed at school to identify needs that may affect learning potential. Annual basic dental screenings are performed on all students.Annual basic hearing and vision screenings will be performed on the following students:
- Students new to the district
- Students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Parent or teacher request
Annual basic hearing screenings will be performed on the following students:
- Kindergarten, first, third, sixth, ninth, and eleventh grades
- Students with a known hearing loss (unless annual hearing screening is provided by a parent)
Annual basic vision screenings will be performed on the following students:
- Kindergarten, first, second, third, fifth, seventh, and tenth grades
