Ranger Families!
My name is Amy Marcum, and I am the School Counselor at Timber Sage Elementary. I am honored for the opportunity to work with your children this year and be a part of this amazing community!
As your School Counselor, my role is to support students and their families in academic, social-emotional, and career domains through classroom character lessons, small groups, individual counseling, as well as collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents. I truly believe we are a team and are better together.
Students can meet with the counselor in various ways. Self-referral or by the referral of parents or teachers. I am also the 504 Coordinator and the Watch D.O.G.S Coordinator.
About Me
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University and my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Emporia State. I am also a certified Life Coach. This is my 10th year as a school counselor. I live in Spring Hill with my husband, and have three daughters. My oldest daughter just got married and is in her first year of teaching, my middle daughter is a junior in college studying psychology and my youngest is a freshman at Spring Hill High School. I love spending time with my family and friends, volunteering in the community, working out and reading. The beach is my favorite place to be, summer is my favorite season and my family loves sports, especially Penn State!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns via email at marcumamy@usd230.org or (913) 592-8186. I look forward to a wonderful year!
