The Spring Hill Schools Board of Education's next meeting will be on Monday, September 14, at 6:00 p.m. at the 📍 District Administrative Center. Prior to the regular meeting, a Revenue Neutral Hearing will be held at 5:15pm followed by the Budget Hearing at 5:30pm.

Beginning this school year, Kansas House Bill 2299 requires personal electronic communication devices to be off and inaccessible for the entire school day.
This includes:

"Hello, I'm Lindsey Petree! I will be joining the Dayton Creek SPED team. This will be my first year as a teacher, but my fifth year in education, as I've spent the last four years as a para educator. I look forward to growing in this new community, fostering academic growth and curiosity, promoting social-emotional growth, and supporting diverse learning needs. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing board games with my family, trying new restaurants, and any and all things musical theater. I can't wait to join the amazing community at Dayton Creek."

🎭 Paige Jackson earned the title of National Thespy Winner in Solo Musical Theatre with a perfect score and an invitation to perform in the prestigious Solo Musical Theatre Showcase, believed to be a first in Spring Hill High School history.
👏 Ian Collins and Trystan Wood received Superior ratings in Two-Person Acting, while Ariela Manaj earned an Excellent rating in Scenic Design.

Meet Laura, Forest Spring's new math teacher!
"Hi everyone! My name is Laura Hernandez, I’ll be teaching 6th grade Math at Forest Spring. I began my teaching career as a 6th grade teacher in Gardner, where I taught for five years. After that, I took time away from the classroom to raise my three children until they each started kindergarten. For the past six years, I’ve been substitute teaching in Olathe, which has allowed me to work with students across all grade levels and in a variety of classrooms. I have three amazing kids—Ella, who’s 15, Evan, who’s 13, and Emery, who’s 11. They keep me very busy with all of their activities, including competitive softball, competitive gymnastics, competitive baseball, cheerleading, football, and basketball. I love spending my free time cheering them on and supporting them in everything they do.
When I’m not at school or watching my kids compete, you’ll usually find me on the softball field coaching. Coaching has been a wonderful way to help young athletes build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.
I’m excited to get to know all of you and look forward to a great year together."
