Kindergarteners shined bright as they learned how to

Identify helpers within the community.
Describe animal traits and their habitats.
Identify the difference between fiction and nonfiction.
Use adjectives to expand our writing.
Count, read, and write to 120.
Understand missing addends.
Add and subtract 2 digit numbers
Second graders shined bright as they learned how to
Add and subtract 3 digit numbers.
Measure items using different units.
Create an array with rows and columns.
Write a friendly letter.
Compare and contrast two stories.
Identify the problem in a story and the steps characters took to solve it
Learn about interesting topics like Westward Expansion, Insects, and the War of 1812.
Third graders shined bright as they learned how to
Classify animals by vertebrates and invertebrates.
Solve multiplication problems.
Sort shapes by their attributes.
Work within teams to research, create and show their learning.
Read and draw maps with keys.
Tell the weather by looking at the clouds.
Know the genre of a book by the text features.
State super cool facts about Spring Hill’s history and government.
Fourth graders shined bright as they learned how to
Divide four digit numbers by one digit numbers.
Answer multi-step word problems.
Identify geometric figures and combining angles.
Write informational reports by researching and organizing information.
Research and present about famous people from Kansas.
Become entrepreneurs and run businesses at BizTown.
Identify the main idea and theme of a story.
Recognize figurative language within a text.
Solve problems by thinking Win-Win so everyone feels valued.
Accomplish difficult tasks through hard work and dedication.
Fifth graders shined bright as they learned how to
Learn about regions and Native Americans by creating a diorama.
Experiment with chemical reactions including making goo or slime.
Read about ancient civilizations including the Maya, Aztec, and Inca and create a codex to compare and contrast the three.
Read about the Renaissance movement and some of the famous artists and their accomplishments. Students chose one of the artists to research and write a biography for.
Learn about how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimals.
