Fourth Graders were treated to an interesting guest speaker this week. A volunteer from Johnson County Parks and Recreation taught the students about the winter at Valley Forge. She explained the challenges that the soldiers and colonists went through during the American Revolutionary War through storytelling as different women during the war.

Even in the cold, we are still learning! Fourth Graders built snowmen, then measured and plotted them as an introduction to adding and subtracting mixed numbers and line plots.

Campers will get to cheer alongside the SHMS Cheerleaders at the home basketball game on Monday, February 23rd and perform at Varsity halftime. 🏀✨
💰 Cost: $30 per cheerleader
🎽 Includes: Camp, T-Shirt, and performance
📈 Proceeds: Support the SHMS Cheer Fund for next season

Important Update:
Due to the inclement weather impacting our area, tonight’s Board of Education meeting has been cancelled. All agenda items will be moved to the February 9 meeting.
As is standard practice on snow days, all elementary and middle school activities and events scheduled for this evening have been cancelled. High school activities may continue as planned, and Spring Hill High School will communicate directly if any changes to their schedule occur.
