Week of August 25-29, 2025
Good Morning Cavalier Families,
We’ve had such a great start to the school year! This first full week of classes have been full of smiles, learning, and practicing new routines. Classes kicked off their core curriculum lessons using CKLA, iReady, and Mystery Science. Other details on our Elementary Programming Guide can be found on this link. Our students also put in great perseverance completing the first set of FastBridge Reading and Math Screening assessments. Moreover, we can’t forget to mention how impressive their "Quiet Cavaliers" have been in the hallways, demonstrating respect and focus as they move from one location to another. Keep up the great work, Cavaliers!
Our Cavalier Greeting Crew
Arrival & Dismissal:
Thank you so much for your patience during drop-off and pick-up this first full week of school. Your cooperation has made a huge difference, and we’re excited to share that Friday’s dismissal was completed in just 7 minutes! To keep things running smoothly and safely, we would like to continue sharing a reminder and emphasize the importance of all parents/guardians following our safety procedures during arrival and dismissal.
If you choose to park and walk up towards the front of our building, please use the crosswalk.
Students should always enter/exit from the passenger side for safety.
For our K-2nd Grade loop: If your child needs help buckling, please pull into the parking lot or drive forward near the west door exit (past the fire hydrant) before safely assisting your child.
Transportation Changes: If there are any changes in your child’s transportation for the day, please call the school office (913-592-7266) by 2:30 p.m. If possible, earlier notification to the teacher and the front office staff via email or phone call is greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your cooperation in helping arrival and dismissal run smoothly and safely for all Cavaliers!
