Spring Hill Schools continued work on projects funded by the voter-approved $60 million bond during July. The district’s July 28 project review covered elementary additions, HVAC improvements and the Spring Hill High School career and technical education (CTE) and commons expansion.

Elementary additions

Work continued on the additions at Spring Hill, Prairie Creek and Timber Sage elementary schools. As of July 28, the elementary projects had $301,145 in owner contingency remaining, according to the district’s project update. The update listed veneer repair and temporary wall floor patching at Spring Hill Elementary, along with additional playground asphalt proposed at a cost not to exceed $110,000. The asphalt amount was not included in the reported contingency subtotal.

HVAC improvements

The HVAC project covers Spring Hill Elementary, Spring Hill Middle School and Spring Hill Early Learning Academy. The July 28 update reported $893,750 in owner contingency remaining after $84,759 in listed changes.

Spring Hill High School CTE and commons

The high school expansion continued to advance. The July 28 update identified two changes: $39,897 to increase the size of an existing sanitary line and $26,808 for temporary relocation of a fire department connection. The project had $1,008,105 in owner contingency remaining as of that date.

The district will continue sharing progress as construction moves forward.
