Construction continued across Spring Hill Schools elementary bond projects during the week of June 22-26 as crews completed interior finishes, site improvements and final building system installations in preparation for project completion.
At Spring Hill Elementary, crews continued installing building specialties and completed additional casework throughout the addition. Low-voltage device installation and patch panel work also progressed during the week. Interior spaces continued to take shape with marker and tack board installation, while remaining casework was protected as finishing work advanced. During the upcoming week, flooring installation will continue, and pavement markings are scheduled to be completed. A planned transformer shutdown will temporarily remove power from the addition while HVAC work is completed, with construction activities operating from generator power.
At Prairie Creek Elementary, crews focused on both interior and exterior finishing work. Landscaping, storefront installation and caulking were completed, along with drop ceiling tile installation and final painting. Renovations to the school office continued throughout the week, including construction of a new door opening. Outside, crews completed backfill work, poured a new sidewalk ramp and removed the laydown yard. Asphalt patching and remaining office renovation work are scheduled to continue next week.
At Timber Sage Elementary, crews continued exterior improvements with glazing and storefront installation, exterior metal flashing and final grading. Interior work included mechanical, electrical and plumbing trim-out, bathroom epoxy flooring, window drywall returns and window caulking. Utility tie-ins and site preparation also progressed, with the laydown yard removed as the project nears completion. Upcoming work includes site concrete, remaining MEP trim-out, installation of doors and hardware, ceiling tile installation and final inspections.
