Construction crews made steady progress across all three Spring Hill Schools bond project sites during the week of April 20–24, with interior mechanical work, exterior envelope systems and site improvements advancing simultaneously at Spring Hill, Prairie Creek and Timber Sage elementary schools.
Spring Hill Elementary
Work at Spring Hill Elementary centered on closing out major building systems and advancing exterior finishes. Crews completed roof drain tie-ins April 20–21 and performed a masonry wash-down April 21. Window glazing was completed April 20–21, and exterior metal panels and flashing installation continued through April 22–24. Site concrete work also progressed through the latter part of the week. Interior trades remained active, with HVAC and electrical/low-voltage trim-out work continuing April 24. In a significant milestone, the building received its permanent power tie-in on Saturday, April 25.
Looking ahead to the week of April 27–May 1, site concrete pours are scheduled April 27–28. Contractors note the interior will be inaccessible during those pour dates. Exterior metal panel and flashing work will continue through May 1, south door glazing is scheduled for April 29, and drywall returns at windows and doors are set to begin April 30.
Prairie Creek Elementary
Roofing dominated activity at Prairie Creek Elementary, with crews working on both sloped and flat roof sections throughout the week. Waterproofing and spray foam application at the soffit was completed April 20–22, and a temporary door was installed April 22. Masonry work continued April 23–24, while mechanical crews insulated water lines April 22–24 and ductwork April 23–24.
The coming week will see roofing work continuing through April 30, with masonry ongoing through May 1. Interior work shifts forward as drywall installation begins April 27–29, followed by drywall finishing and mudding starting April 30.
Timber Sage Elementary
Timber Sage Elementary remains in earlier construction phases, with building envelope and rough-in work the focus for the week. Roof insulation was installed April 20–21, followed by air barrier and waterproofing application April 22–24. Soffit blocking and fascia board work began April 23–24, and temporary windows and doors were set the same days. In-wall electrical and plumbing rough-in work ran the full week, culminating in an in-wall inspection April 24.
Next week, crews will shift to flat roofing installation and electrical overhead rough-in work, both scheduled to run through May 1.
