Construction activity continued across Spring Hill Schools elementary bond projects during the week of Jan. 19–23, with crews advancing structural, foundation and utility work at all three sites.
At Spring Hill Elementary, crews completed the air barrier installation on the 10-inch exterior wall system and delivered structural steel materials. A crane was mobilized on-site, and steel erection began with columns set and beams starting to be installed. Structural steel delivery and staging occurred early in the week, positioning the project for continued vertical progress. Steel erection and inspections were scheduled to continue the following week, weather permitting.
At Prairie Creek Elementary, crews completed footings and foundation work and placed concrete during multiple pours. Site utilities were extended beyond the building pad to prepare for future connections. Pipe installation outside the building pad was completed as part of ongoing utility coordination. Work next week is scheduled to include in-ground plumbing, site utilities and placement of the slab on grade.
At Timber Sage Elementary, crews completed the building pad and began footings and foundation excavation. Underground rough-in work progressed alongside foundation preparation. Weather conditions will determine the pace of completing footings and foundations in the coming week.
The attached weekly construction report from the district’s contractors includes construction updates, schedules, weather impacts and site photos.
