USAKansas and the Kansas Instructional Leadership Association (KILA) are proud to announce that Dr. Erin Smith has been named the Outstanding Instructional Leader of the Year for 2025. The prestigious award was presented to Dr. Smith on May 29 during the closing event of the USAKansas annual conference held in Wichita, Kansas.
The KILA Outstanding Instructional Leader of the Year Award is given annually to an individual currently serving in an education-related role, such as curriculum director, instructional supervisor, administrator, or college instructor, who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in curriculum development and instructional supervision.
Dr. Smith was recognized for her steadfast dedication to advancing education, her innovative leadership, and her influential role in supporting both students and fellow educators. Throughout her career, she has consistently shown a strong commitment to promoting effective teaching practices and achieving impactful academic results.

USAKansas presented Dr. Smith with a commemorative plaque during the conference ceremony in honor of her achievements.
