Spring Hill Middle School Welcomes New Assistant Principal Brad Burkdoll
Brad Burkdoll has been hired as the new Assistant Principal at Spring Hill Middle School. He brings nearly two decades of experience in education, most recently serving in a leadership role at USD 289 in Wellsville. Known for his collaborative approach, strong support for students and staff, and involvement in major school improvement projects, Burkdoll is excited to join the Spring Hill community and begin serving students and families.
SPRING HILL, Kan. (March 31, 2025)—Spring Hill Middle School is pleased to announce the hiring of Brad Burkdoll as the school’s new Assistant Principal. With nearly two decades of experience in education and leadership, Burkdoll brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for student engagement to the Spring Hill School District - USD 230.
Burkdoll comes to Spring Hill from USD 289 in Wellsville, where he has served as Assistant Principal since 2013. During his tenure, he was pivotal in driving instructional improvement, supporting teachers, managing student behavior, and overseeing large-scale projects, including an $18 million bond initiative that led to significant facility enhancements.
“Brad is a dynamic and adaptive leader who understands how to support both students and staff,” said Spring Hill Middle School Principal Mark Meek. “His student-centered approach and experience with school-wide initiatives make him a great fit for Spring Hill Middle School.”
Burkdoll began his career as a physical education and strength training teacher and has coached multiple high school athletic programs, earning recognition as a Kansas Shrine Bowl Coach in 2015. He holds a Master of Science in School Leadership from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Emporia State University.
In addition to his professional experience, Burkdoll is actively involved in educational organizations, including the Kansas Principals Association, United School Administrators, and the Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
“I am thrilled to join the Spring Hill community and begin building relationships with students, families, and staff,” said Burkdoll. “I’m excited to contribute to the positive momentum already in place and help every student thrive.”
Burkdoll will begin his new role ahead of the 2025–26 school year.
