The Spring Hill Schools Board of Education approved Jennie Skibbe as the Prairie Creek Elementary principal for the 2023-24 school year.

“I am beyond honored to have been selected as Prairie Creek’s next building principal,” said Skibbe. “I am beyond excited to be heading back to my [elementary] roots. I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know more about the Prairie Creek community.”

Skibbe is currently serving as the assistant principal/athletic director for Spring Hill Middle since 2022. She has spent a total of 13 years in education, holding other positions which included instructional coach and administrative intern in USD 512.

In 2009, Skibbe received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Kansas State University. In 2014, she earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Emporia State University. In 2016, Skibbe earned her master’s degree in educational administration from Emporia State University.

In January 2023, current PCES Principal Jody Cole informed the Board of her intent to retire at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year.
