The Spring Hill Schools Board of Education approved Dr. Theresa Miller as the Dayton Creek Elementary principal for the 2023-24 school year.

“I am excited and honored to be a part of the great Cavaliers team as the new principal here at Dayton Creek Elementary,” said Dr. Miller. “I look forward to serving the school community alongside a team of dedicated and hard working staff that aim to provide a high quality, safe and supportive learning environment.”

Dr. Miller is currently serving as the principal for McKinley Elementary in USD 500 since 2022. She has spent a total of 14 years in education, holding other positions which included instructional coach and teacher in USD 500.

In 2009, Dr. Miller received her bachelor's degree in mathematics education from the University of the Philippines Diliman. In 2015, she earned her master’s degree in mathematics education from the University of the Philippines Diliman. In 2020, Dr. Miller received her doctoral degree in educational administration from the University of Kansas.

In November 2022, current DCES Principal Darcy Sly was named the principal of Forest Spring Middle, effective for the 2023-24 school year.
