Cavaliers in Action: February 3-7, 2025
Good Morning Cavalier Families,
Conference scheduler on Skyward is now open! Directions on how to schedule your conferences can be found here. Please note that 3rd -5th Graders will lead the first part of their conferences.
-
3-Minute Presentation: Students will share their goals and progress using their LIM binders, focusing on how they’ve shown #GRIT for growth.
-
Binder Review in the Pod: After the conference, parents can continue reviewing their child’s binder in the pod area. Students may share additional contents like academic work, habits, and reflections. Teachers will provide a cart or table outside the classroom for students to return their binders once the conference is complete.
Parent Engagement: To guide the conversation during conferences, consider asking your child questions like:
-
How did you show grit or perseverance toward your goal?
-
What are you most proud of so far?
-
What has been your biggest challenge, and how did you overcome it?
-
How can we support you at home to continue your progress toward this goal?
K-2nd Grade Parents: Your student also has a Leader in Me binder and a goal they have set for themselves. You may ask your child's teacher to review the binder during conferences, and you can also ask your child similar reflection questions as listed above.
Thank you so much for partnering with us to celebrate and support your child’s growth and leadership!
