Cavaliers in Action: November 18-22, 2024

Good Morning Cavalier Families, 

What an incredible week it has been at Dayton Creek Elementary! We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and active participation in this week’s key events. From honoring our veterans during our DCES Veterans Day Program to celebrating our beautiful community at Family Multicultural Night, your involvement has made these moments truly special.

 

Your engagement plays a major role in the continued success of our school, fostering a sense of unity and pride that defines the Cavalier spirit. Thank you so much  for being such an integral part of our school community and for helping us create meaningful experiences that inspire and connect us all.

    • 5th Grade Poetry Cafe: 8:30-9:30, 5th Grade Pod

    • 4th Grade Famous Kansans Wax Museum: 1:30-2:30, hallways   

 

Week of Nov. 25-29 (No School All Week For Students )

  • Monday & Tuesday, No Classes (Staff Professional Development Days)

  • Wednesday-Friday, No Classes (Thanksgiving Break )

New! DCES Staff Recognition Form: We encourage our families to use this form to recognize our hardworking DCES staff. We will print  a certificate of appreciation for each form completed and  we’ll proudly present it to our staff to show how much they mean to our school community.

 

Handbook Highlights: Electronic Devices (see page 12)

All electronic devices are to be secured in backpacks during the school day. Examples of electronic devices include but are not limited to cell phones, smart watches, smart devices, e-readers, portable audio players, earbuds, etc. Failure to do so will result in treating the electronic device as a nuisance item. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen electronic device items.
