New! DCES Staff Recognition Form: We encourage our families to use this form to recognize our hardworking DCES staff. We will print  a certificate of appreciation for each form completed and  we’ll proudly present it to our staff to show how much they mean to our school community.

Handbook Highlights: Tardy (see page 9 of Elementary Handbook) To attend class after arriving late to school, students must check in at the front office. Any arrival after the school day begins requires a parent or guardian to escort the student to the main office. Accumulating five unexcused tardies of 30 minutes or more, or ten unexcused tardies of 10 minutes or more, may lead to an unexcused absence. Continued excessive tardiness may require a doctor’s note for each occurrence; without one, each tardy will be deemed unexcused.
