The Spring Hill Debate team of sophomore Kailey Howell and senior Max Pacheco advanced to quarterfinals at the Blue Valley Debate Classic this weekend, finishing 6th overall with a 4-2 record. 

The weekend's performance officially makes them eligible for State Debate, which takes place in January at Olathe North High School. 

Howell and Pacheco finished 4-1 in the preliminary rounds, making them eligible for the quarterfinal rounds. 

In the quarterfinals, they lost to a team from Sumner Academy on a 2-1 decision.
