Spring Hill's Debate team had a strong showing at the Paola Invitational Debate Tournament Oct. 7. 

Leading the way were the duo of Max Pacheco and Kailey Howell, who went 4-1 and placed 7th in the Open Division. Seniors Adiel Garcia and Luke Torrez went 3-2 and placed 10th in the open division. 

Also competing in the open division were: 

• Ben Beckwith (senior) and Will Hutchcraft (sophomore)

• Noah Kinyon and Hayden Thomason (juniors)

• Savannah Bard (senior) and Ashlynn Smith (sophomore)

In the JV Division, Jackson Roberts and Jace Belcher finished 2-3. 

In the Novice Division, Nic Terblanche and Payton Sibert, also freshmen, also went 2-3. 

The Broncos' next Debate tournament is Oct. 14 in Baldwin City.
