SHHS Students to Feed Families with Support of Pete’s Garden, 01/19/2023
The Spring Hill High Culinary Arts students once again have the unique opportunity to provide meals to families within Spring Hill Schools. Families will receive pre-made chicken fried rice meals at no cost.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to host a Kids Feeding Kids meal again this year,” said SHHS Culinary Teacher Leah Good. “I love that we are able to provide our culinary students with the opportunity to plan, prepare and execute a meal for families within our district. This year, we are excited to partner with the high school volunteer class, as they help us market and package our meals. We hope to make this a yearly opportunity for families!”
Meals will be available to the first 150 families who sign up and will feed four individuals, approximately 32 ounces. Due to the large numbers that this program will benefit, no adjustments can be made due to dietary restrictions including food allergies.
Meals will be distributed on Thursday, February 2 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Early Learning Academy, Spring Hill Elementary and Spring Hill Middle. Meal distribution at Spring Hill High on Thursday, February 2 will be until 5:30 p.m.
