Cavaliers in Action: Sept. 30-Oct. 4

Good Morning Cavalier Families, 

We’ve completed 32 instructional days of the 2024-25 school year, and we’re  excited to see the significant progress our students have already made. We look forward to witnessing how our Cavaliers continue to work hard and  lead the way toward their success this year, showcasing their remarkable grit for growth!

    • All School Picture, 1 pm  

    • PTO Boo Bash, 6-8 PM,  Gym

    • Sign up for conferences: You may schedule through Skyward starting on Wednesday, October 4 at 3 PM.

Week of Oct. 7-11

  • Wednesday, Oct 9: PLC Day (1-HR Late Start) 

  • Thursday, Oct 10: Fire Prevention Month Celebration: Fire Truck Visits DCES

  • Friday, Oct 11: 3rd Grade Field Trip

 

Week of Oct. 14-18

  • Tuesday, Oct. 15: 5th Grade Field Trip

  • Wednesday, Oct.16: 

    • NO PLC, Regular Start Time at 8 AM

    • Early Dismissal: 1:10 PM 

    • Conferences start at 4 PM; Each conference will be a 20-minute session. 

  • Thursday, Oct 17:

    • NO SCHOOL 

    • Conferences start at 1 PM

  • Friday, Oct. 18: NO SCHOOL  

 

Week of Oct. 21-25

  • Tuesday, Oct. 22: 4th Grade Field Trip

  • Wednesday, Oct. 23:  PLC Day (1-HR Late Start) 

  • Thursday, Oct. 24: 2nd Grade Music Program at 6:30 PM

  • Friday, Oct. 25: 

    • Q1 Report cards will be sent home 

    • LIM Awards Assembly for Habit #2: Begin With the End in Mind

Week of Oct. 28-Nov 1

  • Wednesday, Oct. 30: 

    • PLC Day (1-HR Late Start) 

    • Picture Retakes

  • Thursday, Oct. 31: Fall Parties and Costume Parade: If you are planning to be a volunteer, please take a moment to review and complete the volunteer registration here. Please take note of the following reminders about our fall parties and costume parade. 

    • Students will not wear costumes to school. They will change into them before their party. No play weapons, blood or gore, please.

    • Classroom Party Volunteers: Volunteers may come in at 1:45 to set up for their class party. Fall parties begin at 2:00. 

    • Parents or family members are welcome to observe our costume parade. Kindly sign in at the front office and get a visitor sticker. Guests may begin coming into the gym at 2:30. 

    • The parade will begin right at 2:50 in our gym. The students will do one lap around the gym and then head back to their classrooms for dismissal.

    • Our school nurse must check all treats for our parties.
