Peavey Named Assistant Principal of Woodland Spring Middle, 06/27/2023
The Spring Hill Schools Board of Education approved Scott Peavey as the Woodland Spring Middle assistant principal/athletic director for the 2023-24 school year. He will also serve as the district activities coordinator for middle schools.
“I am extremely excited to join the team at Woodland Spring Middle and contribute to the leadership of USD 230,” said Peavey. “Spring Hill Schools has a fantastic reputation throughout the state of Kansas, and WSMS has established itself in a short time as one of the best middle schools in Johnson County. I can't wait to get started working with the great teachers, staff, parents, and, most importantly, the students that make up the Woodland Spring community!”
Peavey is currently serving as the associate principal/athletic director for Gardner Edgerton High School. He has spent a total of 12 years in education, holding other positions which included middle school assistant principal/activities director in Basehor-Linwood USD 458 and teacher in Gardner Edgerton USD 231.
In 2010, Peavey received his bachelor's degree in secondary education from the University of Kansas. In 2013, he earned his master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Kansas. In 2015, Peavey earned his master’s degree in education administration from Emporia State University.
In May 2023, current WSMS Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Paul Carter was named the principal of Woodland Spring Middle, effective for the 2023-24 school year.
