In It To Win It: 2025 Boys Basketball Season; 01/30/2025

The Woodland Spring boys basketball team is well into their season and is competing hard both on and off the court. Practice began over Winter Break and has continued each day the Stallions do not have a game. Through the first seven games of the season, the record for each of our teams is as follows:

7th Grade Varsity: 4-3

7th Grade JV: 6-1

8th Grade Varsity: 6-1

8th Grade JV: 7-0

Both of our 8th grade teams beat district rivals Spring Hill Middle and Forest Spring for the first time in their middle school careers. All of our Stallions have a tough matchup against Eudora on Thursday of this week.

When asked what his favorite part about being on the basketball team is, 8th grader Logan Brenner said, “I enjoy being able to persevere through tough situations and play a sport that I love with my teammates.” Dylan Northup, also an 8th grader, said that the toughest part of the season so far has been “having to run at practice, but really it has not been that bad at all.” We look forward to seeing how the rest of the season goes for our basketball team. Come out and support our Stallions at the next home game!
