2024 GOAL Meetings Take Place in February, 1/30/2024
Dear Bronco Parents,
Spring GOAL (Gaining Opportunities in Academics and Learning) meetings will be held at Spring Hill High School on Feb. 14th from 4 - 8 PM and on Feb. 15th from 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM. These meetings will take place during the annual USD 230 spring parent teacher conference time slots. GOAL meetings will provide focus on next year’s course selections and clarity on making choices aligned with student’s post-secondary goals. Families are encouraged to attend traditional conferences with teachers, if desired, before or after GOAL meetings.
Spring GOAL meetings are an important meeting time for you and your student. Your student will lead the discussion amongst their advisory teacher and their families. Students will have the undivided attention of the adults in their life for 20 minutes to talk about how school is going for them (1st semester grades and current academic progress), what they are proud of, and what their dreams and goals are for the future. A large portion of this time will be to discuss course selections for the 24-25 school year. You will have the opportunity to look over your student’s course selections and recommend any changes in their Xello selections. You can learn more about GOAL meetings and individual plans of study HERE!
You will schedule a GOAL meeting on the Skyward conference scheduler. The conference scheduler opens on February 5th at 3 PM and will remain open until February 12th at 3 PM. Please see the 60-second video HERE for more information on how to schedule your conference.
All teachers are available for traditional conferences when not scheduled with GOAL meetings. Parents are encouraged to contact teachers anytime to set up appointments prior to or following their GOAL meeting. Parents can also drop in any time on Wed. Feb. 14th from 4-8pm or Thurs. Feb. 15th 1-4 PM, 5-8 PM. If the teacher is unavailable, parents are encouraged to call or email to schedule an appointment.
We are very excited about the GOAL meetings and each student has been working extremely hard to get prepared for their presentation.
As always, thank you for the continued support of Spring Hill High School.
Sincerely,
Marc Williams
Spring Hill High School Principal
