Spring Hill Education Foundation to Host Soiree Fundraiser

SPRING HILL, Kan. (January 14, 2025) — The Spring Hill Education Foundation (SHEF) has announced its inaugural SHEF Soiree fundraiser, an evening gala event dedicated to supporting educational initiatives and enhancing student experiences in the Spring Hill School District.

The SHEF Soiree was established to serve as a dedicated fundraiser for the organization’s Teacher Grant initiatives. In previous years, SHEF relied on general funds from corporate partners to support projects. “Without a fundraiser devoted to teacher grants, classroom projects, and materials, we would soon struggle to fund the growing requests,” said BJ Harris, SHEF Executive Director. “We are excited about the possibilities of increasing our giving capacity and engaging educators to expand our impact in the classroom.”

The first SHEF Spring Soiree, themed Mardi Gras, will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at The Meadowlark Event Center, located at 20650 W. 191st St., Spring Hill, Kansas.

This New Orleans-themed masquerade ball promises a festive evening for a meaningful cause. Guests can enjoy Cajun-inspired cuisine, decadent desserts, signature cocktails, and more! Dress to impress formal attire, masks, and group themes are encouraged. Throughout the evening, live and silent auctions featuring vacations, exclusive event tickets, rare sports memorabilia, and other unique gifts will make this event an unforgettable experience.

SHEF aims to build a sustainable fundraiser that connects the growing school community with the foundation’s mission, mainly supporting educators and staff. “We envision the SHEF Soiree evolving into a long-term funding mechanism to meet the needs of our students through creative collaboration with educators,” Harris said. “This fundraiser will ensure Spring Hill students have the tools necessary to continue our mission of enhancing educational opportunities for Spring Hill Schools.”

The SHEF Soiree is anticipated to become one of the community’s most celebrated fundraisers, offering an unforgettable evening while contributing to a meaningful cause. The event aims to unite families, staff, and community partners in support of local education.

Registration for the SHEF Soiree is now open. Interested participants can secure their spot by visiting https://form.jotform.com/243367506333153.
