2020-2021 Reopening and Enrollment Options

Please send all questions to info@usd230.org.

On September 28, 2020, the BOE voted to implement new gating criteria for USD 230 schools. This criteria is subject to change based on new data from the CDC, KDHE, or JCDHE. Any changes made to the gating criteria will be posted on this website and shared with parents by email.

Based on the new gating criteria, we are currently in *YELLOW (elementary in-person and secondary in remote). Next review of data will occur on 1/27 after 3:30 pm.

Click here for a pdf of the above current gating criteria data.
KDHE data for Johnson County will be reviewed each Wednesday and changes to the learning mode will begin on the subsequent Monday when moving from a more restrictive environment to a less restrictive environment. There will be a delay of 1 week to this schedule to facilitate school and family preparation when moving from a less restrictive to more restrictive environment. A move to a more restrictive environment will last at least two weeks before considering a change. The buffer zones work in both directions.

COVID-19 Cases Dashboard

Spring Hill Schools are working hard to protect students and employees from COVID-19, but it is important to realize that there will be positive cases in our schools this year. We are working closely with the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment to implement contact tracing when members of our school community test positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 cases in our school population will be available on our website and will be updated weekdays after 3:30 pm. Weekend numbers will be updated with the Monday afternoon report. All school and classroom/activity group email notifications for COVID-19 positive cases will be sent to parents on the day notification was received.

It is important that as a community we practice safety mitigations to protect each other and reduce the amount of transmission during this pandemic. Please wear a mask, physical distance, maintain good hand hygiene, and stay home when you are ill.
