Anderton's Winning Mural Design

The InterUrban ArtHouse recently announced the winners of their AT&T/Believe KC Suicide Prevention Mural Design Competition. We are excited to share that the design created by Amelia “Mia” Anderton, Spring Hill High School senior, in her Graphic Design class has been selected as one of the winners!

Anderton, along with Mariel Pepitone of Pembroke High School (MO), received the most selections and will now have her design painted on a building in the Kansas City metro area (locations TBD). Congratulations to Amelia on her award-winning design!

In all, 217 metro area schools now display a banner with their encouraging words of hope and healing along with the Suicide Prevention Hotline #: 1-800-273-8255. Click here to see the designs of all the mural contest finalists.
