Where am I?

After-School Club

Running Wranglers

Each Thursday after school in September, 92 students could be found running around Wolf Creek Elementary with teachers hot on their trail.  Were these kids in trouble?  Not at all! They were members of the Wolf Creek Fitness Club.  Several students in grades K-5 choose to be healthier by making a commitment to fitness.  They  trained alongside teachers and other staff members  by setting running goals and achieving them. Many students were running 2-3 miles in just a few weeks.   Many also made a commitment to participate in an actual 5K race.    All of that hard work paid off on the morning of Oct. 5, when over 60 of the club members, dressed in neon green, ran with family members, teachers, and friends in the Nathan Project 5K Run/Walk.  See the Nathan Project 5K gallery for more pictures of the event.
