After 3 years as principal at Spring
Hill Elementary School, I am delighted to open up the new
intermediate school and continue to work with you and your child!
From 1995-2004, I was a principal
in Liberal, Kansas. For the first 6 years, I was at Garfield
Elementary (K-5th grade), then the district named me as
principal of a brand-new intermediate school, Cottonwood
Intermediate (4th-6th grades). Prior to being
a principal, I taught for four years in the Council Grove district
and three years in the Oberlin school district.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science (1988) and my Master of Science
(1990) from Emporia State University. I completed my Doctorate in
Education at Kansas State University in 1996.
I like to walk, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
I did not take any exciting trips this summer since I was
busy preparing for our new school. However, I did have some adventures with my good friends and
their children at the Great Wolf Lodge and T-Rex—What fun we had!!
I like to collect Coca-Cola
memorabilia—I have a house full of it!
I enjoy going to football games both the KSU Wildcats and the
KC Chiefs. I also like the Chicago Cubs and the KC Royals!
