Steve Fleer has been employed by the Spring Hill Public Schools since August, 1974. Steve had previously served as a SHHS Social Science teacher, Varsity Basketball Coach, SHHS Asst. Principal, and Principal of SHHS from 1986-1989. He has been SHMS Principal since 1989. Steve has received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from The University of Kansas. He has participated in a wide variety of workshops and conventions to promote middle level and secondary education.
Steve was named 1999-2000 Middle School Principal of the Year by the Kansas Association of Middle School Administrators. He was one of three school administrators to address the State Board of Education during their recognition of "Exemplary Principals--1999-2000.
Steve and his wife, Diane, have been married since 1972 and have three sons Brian, Mike, and Ben.
