Watch D.O.G.S.

Dads of Great Students

WATCH D.O.G.S. is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for the students and to enhance school security.

Dads at Spring Hill Intermediate are asked to volunteer at least one day a year at the school working with students at all grade levels. Dads will help greet students as they arrive at school, assist teachers by reading with a small group or provide extra practice time with students. Watch D.O.G.S. provide a valuable resource in helping our children interact at recess by encouraging all students to participate through fun interactive games. Each Dad who volunteers will be given time during the day to eat lunch with their child and spend some special time in their child’s classroom.

The WATCH D.O.G.S program is under the direction of Andrea Reece, counselor at SHIS. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for the program, please contact Mrs. Reece at 913-592-7212 or reecea@usd230.org.
