Softball wins first game at Regionals
The softball team upsets #4 Baldwin tonight in their first regional game. The bats came alive for Spring HIll in the first inning, scoring two runs in the top of the first. Baldwin battled back in the bottom of the first scoring one run. Baldwin and Spring Hill battled each other scoring one run at a time. With the tying run on first base for Baldwin and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Bri Brenneman came up big with a double play to end the inning and the game. Spring Hill defeated Baldwin by a score of 4-3. Bri Brenneman, Hailey Taylor, Hayley Berkley, and Sarah Henkle all scored for the Broncos. Hailey Taylor, Jenna Nevius, Shayna Weers, and Chasity Ward all hit runners in to help score the four runs Spring Hill would need to give them the victory.
