Barton County Community College
Criteria:
- The applicant must have an interest in being a student athletic trainer (sports medicine) while continuing education in college.
- Carry a minimum of 12 semester hours.
- Have an overall GPA of 2.0.

Cloud County Community College (Concordia, KS)
Criteria:
- Experience on dance team or as a cheer or yell leader in high school.
- Must attend NCA or UCA Cheer Camp.
Amount of Award: Tuition and Books for cheerleaders; $1000 for dance team

Colby Community College Presidential Scholarship
Criteria:
- The applicant must have an ACT composite of 22 or higher.
- Have a nomination from your counselor.

Amount of Award: Full tuition as long as academic requirements are met.

The Elberta Harris Scholarship Fund (Emporia State University)
Criteria:
- Be a high school senior.
- At least a 3.0 GPA and plan to attend Emporia State to pursue a degree in elementary or secondary education.
- Have a strong record of community service.
Application: Available from Ms. Graves in the guidance office; must submit the application with essay and two letters of recommendation by November 15 to address on application.
Highland Community College
Criteria:
- This is available to two to three students with either knowledge of video camera, computer skills (video practice sessions and games); or journalism (writing articles); or secretarial skills (correspondence).
Amount of Award: Books and tuition
JCCC
Criteria:
- The scholarship is available for senior students who have participated in either the College Now or QuickStep program and plan to enroll in at least 12 hours at JCCC. More information here.

Deadline: April 1. *Seniors planning to attend JCCC next fall need to have their application for admission and scholarship application to JCCC by April 1.
JCCC Sunflower Grant
First generation college/university student.
- Demonstrate financial need (must fill out the FAFSA form)
- Must be attending JCCC for the first time in the fall of 2012.
- Fill out the Sunflower Grant Application.
- Answer two of the three essay questions.

K-State Wabash Cannon Ball
The K-State Wabash CannonBall Scholarship is available for Kansas City-area students.
Criteria:
- Minimum GPA of 3.25
- Must be admitted to Kansas State University and have completed a general scholarship application.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by Monday, December 1. Winners will be announced in February. Recipients will have the opportunity to apply for renewal of this scholarship again for the next academic year.
Amount: Twenty $2,500 scholarships will be awarded in the Kansas City area.

K- State Civic Leadership Scholarship
Criteria:
- Have an exemplary record of community service
- Be a high school senior
- Be admitted to K-State
- Attend K-State in the Fall after your senior year

K- State Chapter of Acacia Scholarship
The Acacia Leadership Scholarship is a one-time scholarship awarded to incoming male freshmen at the Manhattan Campus of Kansas State University who display:
- excellence in academics
- motivation for personal success
- an interest in studying the principles of leadership

Amount: One (1) $1,000 scholarship and two (2) $500 scholarships.
K-State’s Loren Mall Leadership Scholarships
Criteria:
- Offered to incoming freshmen males at Kansas State.
- Considerations will be based on leadership and academic excellence: grades, ACT/SAT scores, school and community activities, and leadership roles.
- There is no obligation to join Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
Amount of Award: $500

K-State Sigma Nu Fraternity Excellence Scholarship
Criteria:
- Seniors must exemplify excellence in leadership, academics, and community involvement
- Individuals are NOT required to become members of Sigma Nu Fraternity nor are they required to enter into Greek Life.

K-State’s True Gentlemen Scholarship
Criteria
- Available to incoming male freshmen planning to attend K-State. **There are three or four K-State scholarships for in-coming male freshmen. Most of these scholarships are sponsored by a fraternity but do NOT require the recipient to join the fraternity.

Kansas Masonic Foundation Student Loan Program
Low interest loans (5%) are available with repayment starting one year after completion of school.
Student Requirements: The is student is required to maintain a 2.0 GPA and have 12 credit hours while attending college.

University of Kansas Hixson Opportunity Award
Faced personal challenges and/or financial hardship.
- Be residents of Kansas and current high school seniors.
- Be admissible to the University of Kansas by
- Achieving an ACT score of 21 or above or an SAT score of 980 or above, OR
- Earning at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0-point scale in the Kansas Qualified Admissions curriculum, OR

University of Kansas J.L. Cleland GLBT Non-descrimination Award
Criteria:
- Student must have experienced discrimination, bullying, and/or violence based on the belief, real or perceived, that said students are gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender.
- Minimum 21 ACT / 980 SAT scores
- Minimum 2.0 GPA on Kansas Board of Regents curriculum
Must include a cover page and a 1-2 page essay demonstrating your commitment to fostering non-discrimination toward GLBT persons and/or your commitment to and involvement in the GLBT community.

Full tuition Scholarship at Wichita State University!!
High school seniors in your district who are high achievers in math and science could qualify for scholarships that would cover the cost of all four years of college tuition at Wichita State University. The WSU College of Education is the recipient of the largest known gift in the nation to an institution specifically for scholarships to support students in math and science education. This nearly 7.5 million dollar endowment from the Doris and Ralph Klose estate allows WSU College of Education to award full tuition to 20 teacher education students each year.
Through the annual Klose Scholarship Competition three Klose Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors with a passion for teaching, which will cover their college tuition for all four years at WSU. To qualify, students must be a high school senior who will graduate in spring; have an ACT composite score of 24 or higher or SAT of 1090 or higher; and be admitted to WSU by October 1 (ACT scores and GPA must also be received by WSU by that date), declaring a major in math or science education.

Coffeyville Community College
Kansas Enhancement Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students who complete the application process and sign with a Coffeyville Community College activity group. For the academic year, students awarded the Kansas Enhancement Scholarship will receive a $600 per semester discount toward residence hall costs at Coffeyville Community College.
Eligible activities for the Kansas Enhancement Scholarship include Academic Challenge (Quiz Bowl), Athletic Training, Choral Music, Instrumental Music, Meats Judging, Presidential Scholars, Dance, Art, Broadcasting, Horticulture, Livestock Judging, Native American Leadership, Theatre, Cheer, and Coffeyville Technical Campus Programs.
Presidential Honors Scholarship
A student with an ACT score of 28 or higher may apply for the Presidential Honor Scholarship. These students will receive a full scholarship including room, board, tuition, fees and loan of books.
NJCAA student athletes at Coffeyville Community College are not eligible for the Kansas Enhancement Scholarship nor the Presidential Honor Scholarship. (KJCCC Conference rules limit student-athlete scholarships to tuition and books)

Washburn University Academic Scholarships
Washburn University has announced that they will be offering academic scholarships to incoming freshman for the fall.
students must have a GPA of 3.0 and an ACT composite score of 21 or higher.
- They are awarded on a first come, first serve basis so students who apply early have a better chance of receiving a scholarship.
Amount: $500-$5,000

Washburn University Garvey Scholarship
Washburn University has announced that they will be hosting the 2011 Garvey Competitive Scholarship Exam, an exclusive scholarship opportunity for Washburn students. The exam will take place in Topeka on November 19 and December 7; it will also be given on December 3 in Hays, Wichita, and Shawnee.
Top scorers earn renewable awards ranging from $500 to $2,000.

Fort Hays University Scholarships
