Activities

Prairie Creek Elementary School encourages students to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The wide range of activities that is available to students helps them explore interest areas and develop talents. Students also enhance their citizenship skills and practice teamwork, which prepares them for life and their continued education.

In addition, students build their leadership skills through participation in student-led organizations that plan many individual events and spirit activities for the school through the year.

Community service also is strongly emphasized at Prairie Creek Elementary, including giving back to the local community and sharing globally. Some of the activities the students have been involved in are collecting scarves, hats, and blankets for the local tree of warmth, collecting food for our local pantry, adopting several families from the local service center, collecting pennies for patients, collecting money for Hoops for Heart, sending books to schools affected by Hurricane Katrina, sending care packages and filled suitcases to Haiti, and sending cards to the military.
