Facilities and Accessibility

Prairie Creek Elementary School is a child-friendly building with billowy clouds hanging from the ceiling and trees lining the halls.  From the multi-colored tiled floor to treehouses that identify each pod area, the building exudes a high-energy feeling and welcomes our students, families and staff each day. Our building houses two or three sections of every grade level from kindergarten through fifth grade. There is a full-size gym for our students’ benefit, as well as for use by the Spring Hill Recreation Center. Our cafeteria is a multi-purpose room complete with a stage area for winter and spring concerts and plays.  The gym and cafeteria are both equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems for programs and competitions.

Outside students have many opportunities for play. There are two complete playground equipment areas, and also a blacktop area for four square, basketball, and tetherball.  On the sidewalks, painted hopscotch and four-square games encourage play. In addition, a large grassy area is available for soccer, kickball and softball. In addition, a “track” is marked to encourage students to run, walk or skip the “miler” during recess.
