District Fees
Approved by Board of Education on June 7, 2010
The Spring Hill Board of Education approved district fees for the 2010-2011 school year at its June 7, 2010, meeting. One change from the 2009-10 school year included a $10 increase in the annual textbook rental fee in response to the reduced levels of state funding. Based on the March 2010 district budget survey results, the majority of respondants indicated they would find a small increase in textbook fees acceptable.
In addition, a $.10 increase was made to meals in order to help the district's food service department reach a near balanced budget. Finally, a 3 percent increase was made to pay-to-ride bus fees that reflects increased operating costs. No other fees, including all-day kindergarten and preschool fees, were increased.
