Strength and Conditioning

Course Description:  The purpose of this course is to improve physical performance. The student will be placed in a program designed to build strength, power, speed, agility, and stamina.  Students must be able to respond to safe and structured environment.  This course will demand that students work as disciplined teams in order to achieve physical goals and objectives set by both the student and the instructor.

Dress Code:  Athletic shoes will be required at all times.  Students will have a choice of T-shirts or sweatshirts; however, shirts may not be cut so more than arms are exposed.  Shorts, sweats, or wind pants will be allowed as long as they are acceptable with the student handbook and are maintained so the student is appropriately dressed.
*Basically, the student is required to bring athletic clothes to class for workout purposes.  The student will not be allowed to dress in a manner that would break the dress code in some other part of the school.*

Grading:  There will be 10 points to be earned on a daily basis.  Two points will be awarded because of attendance. Three will be given because of appropriate dress.  And the student will earn the other five points because of their personal classroom effort and cooperation. The student will also be assessed according to quarterly physical evaluations. Inappropriate behavior will result in loss of daily points. The student will also take a variety of skills test throughout the year. The performance in these test will be reflected as a final exam score.

We have a very exciting strength and conditioning program.  We would love to see you get involved and develop your physique!
