About Ms. Wolf
My name is Suzy Wolf and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher! We are going to have an exciting year full of learning and fun. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of the SHES family.
This is my first year of teaching. I graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Marketing and an M.B.A. in International Business and Finance in 1997. In my previous work life, I was a Business/IT Consultant. After my son was born I stayed home with him for a few years. During that time, I did some soul-searching and I decided that I really wanted to work with kids. So, I went back to school to obtain my teacher licensure from Ottawa University. I student taught in a 2nd grade classroom at Liberty View Elementary School last spring and enjoyed every minute of it.
My amazing son, Taylan, is now 10 years old and is in 5th grade. He has grown up so fast! He lives with me and my mother and our two mini-schnoodles, Lucy and Sophie. When I’m not at school, I spend a lot of time at the baseball fields and at basketball games watching my son play his two favorite sports. When I’m not watching him play sports, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking my dogs for walks, going for long runs and bike rides, reading, and watching movies.
First grade is a time to build a strong foundation for future learning and growth among all aspects of life. It is an important year filled with countless learning opportunities, both educationally, personally, and socially. I do my very best to make sure our classroom is a safe and exciting environment where students feel welcome and enjoy coming to school every day. I am a believer that all children can learn given a compassionate and supportive environment. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be one of the many wonderful people here at SHES to help your child build a strong foundation, which will lead to a lifetime of success. I am very excited about the start of a new year and having the opportunity to work with you and your children.
Please don’t ever hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.
