Welcome to Spring Hill Elementary Kindergarten and a new level on the journey into learning. What an exciting time! Your child’s world is changing and expanding beyond family to include the school environment with many new friends and experiences. Each child is curious and eager to learn. Since each student comes to school with different background knowledge in his/her backpack, it is important to use many strategies and techniques so each student can be a successful reader, writer, and mathematician. Your involvement is vitally important in this process.
The last two months of the year will be busy ones. We will be hatching butterfly eggs to learn about life cycles. We have our annual field trip to the zoo coming in May. We’ll be performing in a spring music program and participating in Muffins for Moms and field day. That’s in addition to all the learning that will continue in the classroom.
Parents and the teacher need to be partners in your child’s education. We all want your child to be happy and successful in school. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
