Hi, my name is Ms. Christine Walter, and I will be your child's teacher this year. Fourth grade is an exciting and important time for your child and I am privileged to be able to share in this journey with them. This is my second year in education and I couldn't be more excited! I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I am currently working on my Master’s Reading Specialist degree. I am thrilled to be your child's fourth grade teacher!

TOKENS

When your child is observed on-task, assisting a teacher or another student, etc. he/she will receive “tokens.” These “tokens” are towards weekly reward auctions.

If your child is not following our class principles, he/she will be given a verbal warning regarding what they are doing, and/or have “tokens” taken away.

You may refer to the parent handbook for further building behavior procedures.

Let’s have a great year!

How you can help your student:

1. Practice multiplication and spelling words! Words are sent home every Monday. Rocket Math is sent home each night.

2. Sign their assignment book each night and ask them about their day.

3. Read to them! Read with them! Encourage reading!

4. Set up academic or behavior goals at home for your student to reach.

5. Attend school activities with your student.

6. Check school website to keep informed.
