Alicia Von Stein
Health and Physical Education Instructor

Hello, I am Alicia Von Stein, physical education teacher at Spring Hill Intermediate School.  I want to tell you a little about the Health and Physical Education program and myself.  I started teaching at Spring Hill Elementary in 2001 and transferred to Spring Hill Intermediate in 2007.  I played volleyball and softball at Butler County Community college and graduated with an Associate’s Degree.  I went on to Emporia State and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/Secondary Physical Education and Health.  I finished my Master’s Degree at MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2005.  I teach Physical education/Health to third-fifth grade. I am also the head volleyball and junior varsity basketball coach at Spring Hill High School.

I believe that knowledge about health and fitness are crucial.  Without it, other life goals are difficult to achieve.  Students who have health knowledge and skills have better health status and as adults will be better prepared to contribute to society’s competitiveness.  Within our P.E. program, it is my goal to help each child be more prepared for life’s challenges.  We learn everyday as we play!

Call me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!
