Welcome to my kindergarten classroom! I am delighted to be a kindergarten teacher. Kindergarten is the place for learning lots of new things each and every day. It is a place where we make new friends, share amazing experiences and opportunities. I know that what I give to my students will come back to me in many wonderful and unexpected ways.
To help keep parents informed, students will bring home a weekly note with details of what is happening. Communication is important and I encourage parents to share comments and concerns.
Expectations in kindergarten are great. We have a rigorous curriculum in all areas of academics. Students develop their reading skills by working on phonemic awareness skills. Experiencing hands-on activities develops math and science knowledge.
Wow! The beginning of school is an exciting and stressful time. Your child has many different emotions running through their head. I will do my best to make sure your child has a great beginning. Please make sure he/she gets a good nights sleep each and every night. Don't be surprised if your child comes home very tired from our busy day.
