"Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body."
Even though students will learn many concepts in 6th Grade Language Arts, one of the most important skills is critical thinking. It is important for students to understand, interpret, and connect with the stories they are reading. I strive to instill a love for reading to create a life-long habit. By becoming better readers, we will increase our writing performance. I am excited about the opportunity that I have to motivate students in reading and writing, as well as helping them become respectful, responsible, and productive young adults.
